The 19th of the hebrew month of Kislev, marks one of the most celebrated days on the Chabad calendar. This was the day that the day that Rabbi Shneur Zalman, the founder of Chabad movement was released from prison for outwardly being a proud Jew and sharing the joy of Judaism with others. His freedom marked the beginning of a new era: that of the open dissemination of Chabad Chassidut.

Join us for an evening of inspiration and soul, a "Farbrengen," Chassidic gathering for men and women marking the day referred to as the "Rosh Hashanah of Chassidus."

The farbrengen will be led by Dr. David Caplan, distinguished professor of English literature at SMU. Dr. Caplan is the author of award-winning poetry focusing on the interplay between Chassidic themes and modern life.
